Rugby jerseys take more punishment than any other team shirt. They are grabbed in the tackle, pulled in the maul and dragged along wet ground, so the build matters more than the print. As a rugby jersey manufacturer we start there: a heavy tight-weave body, a reinforced collar, taped load seams and hoops that are cut and sewn rather than printed. Your club customers can judge the jersey on how long it lasts, not only on how it looks.

Prices are per unit in USD for the blank or color-blocked garment, Ex-Factory. Decoration (sublimation, print, embroidery and every other method) is quoted per design. Shipping is quoted separately: Express by Air, Cargo by Air or By Sea.
We make every style to order for trade buyers only: distributors, decorators, team dealers and private-label brands who sell on to clubs, schools and universities. The blanks are not stock goods pulled from a shelf. Each style starts at 12 pieces, each colorway counts as its own style, production takes about two weeks after you approve the proof, and reorders against your order number have no minimum. Prices are for the blank garment, sewn hoops included, and every decoration is quoted per design.
Match rugby jerseys run 280 to 320 gsm in a tight-weave rugby knit, either a classic cotton-poly or a polyester build. The weight is not there for warmth. It stops the fabric stretching out the first time an opponent takes a fistful of it, and the tight weave resists snags from fingers and studs. Cotton-poly gives the traditional hand and takes embroidery well; polyester builds take sublimation and dry faster after a wet match.
Construction does the rest of the work. Shoulder and side seams carry the load when a jersey is pulled, so they are double-stitched and taped. Collars are cut close with a reinforced facing, because a loose collar is a handle. Knitting and dyeing come from partner mills, and the cutting, sewing, decoration and finishing happen in our own factory.
Training tops and club wear use lighter knits. Our activewear fabric library lists each one with its weight range, and the guide to what GSM means in fabric explains how weight changes feel and price.
The neckline is the first choice your customer makes. A full button collar or a two-button placket is the traditional club look and suits first teams, veterans' sides and supporter lines. A tight crew neck gives an opponent nothing to hold and is the usual pick for front-row forwards. The V-neck reads more modern and is reinforced at the point, which is where any V wears first.
Fit is a separate decision. We cut two patterns: a tight modern match cut that leaves little to grab, and a looser traditional club cut. Forwards and backs are often split between them, and one order can carry both. Adult sizes run S to 3XL, women's XS to 2XL on their own block and youth YXS to YXL on a graded pattern, all listed on our jersey size charts.
Most unions number the starting side 1 to 15 and replacements from 16, and many set number heights and sponsor zones in their kit regulations. Match clothing must not carry anything that could injure another player, so our jerseys and shorts have no rigid trims or exposed fastenings. Send your customer's current regulations with the brief and we build to them.
A club rarely buys jerseys alone. A full rugby kit for one squad usually covers a match jersey, a match short, a compression short worn underneath, a training top, a training short and a warm-up layer. Our uniform sets pair a jersey and short in matching colors and bag them per player from your roster, which keeps a 23-player squad to one line on your quote.
Shorts come in three looks: classic with side piping, two-tone split down the center seam, and striped at the waistband with a curved hem. Training wear is where custom rugby jerseys get colorful. The training top is a lighter polyester with the whole design sublimated, so hoops, crest, sponsors and player numbers print in full color, and clubs replace it every season or two.
Pick the decoration by garment: an embroidered crest on the match jersey, sublimated jerseys for training, screen print or DTF on tees and hoodies. Our guide to embroidery vs screen printing compares the methods by fabric and run size.
In the trade, a rugby jersey is the playing garment and a rugby shirt is often the off-field version: a collared, long-sleeve top in a cotton-rich knit worn to the clubhouse, the pub or the office. Clubs buy both. Players need match kit, while members, parents and sponsors buy the shirt, the polo, the hoodie and the rain jacket.
The collared rugby shirt has been a casual staple for decades, which gives private-label brands a lifestyle line as well as a club one. Custom rugby shirts in a club's hoops sell through club shops and supporter stores, and wholesale rugby shirts left blank give decorators a heavy base that holds embroidery. Our hoodies, polos, quarter zips and team bags carry the same PMS color codes, so one supplier covers the playing squad and the clubhouse. The same terms apply across our wholesale catalog of blank jerseys for all 12 sports.

Rugby FAQ
No. Every blank is made to order from 12 pieces per style, in your colors, neckline and fit, so nothing is pulled from old stock. Production takes about two weeks after you approve the proof. Freight is quoted separately once the order is confirmed.
Each product page lists the blank price per piece in five tiers, from 12–50 to 501+ pieces per style. A jersey-and-short set is priced as one style. Crest, numbers, names and sponsors are added on top and quoted per method, so send your artwork and quantities for a full price.
That is what the 280 to 320 gsm tight weave and the taped, double-stitched shoulder and side seams are for. A lighter jersey stretches out the first time it is gripped hard and does not recover. Order one sample at the 12–50 price, credited to bulk, and pull it yourself before your customer commits.
On match jerseys, hoops and color blocks are sewn in as separate panels. A printed hoop wears at the shoulders and chest where players grip, while a sewn panel keeps its color. Training tops are sublimated instead, which keeps them lighter for a garment replaced every season or two.
Yes. Send one set of PMS references and we match the sewn match jersey and the sublimated training top as closely as the two fabrics allow. Cotton-rich and polyester fabrics take dye differently, so we confirm the colors on both pieces with you before production.
Yes. We build the jersey with its sewn hoops and leave the crest, number and sponsor areas clear, under your own woven or printed neck label. Tell us which methods you run in house and we advise on placement and fabric so your decoration takes properly.
