Men's vs women's lacrosse uniforms: pinnie and shorts or jersey and kilt

A men's lacrosse uniform is a sleeveless pinnie over a game short. Our men's set uses a 150 gsm polyester mesh pinnie, open enough to vent under pads in late-spring heat, and a short with contrast side panels and the player number on the leg. Each player's pinnie and short are bagged together from your roster. Some youth leagues and boys' programs want a sleeve, so the same artwork can go on a short-sleeve or long-sleeve lacrosse jersey for cold March games.

A women's lacrosse uniform is a fitted jersey and a kilt. Our women's set pairs a racer-back top in the same 150 gsm mesh with a pleated kilt that has the inner short attached, so a player gets one garment instead of two loose pieces. Programs that prefer a skirt without pleats can swap in a skort trimmed in the second team color. Top and bottom are sublimated from one artwork file, so a plaid or stripe lines up across both.

Most high school and youth programs now buy sublimated lacrosse uniforms, because the design, names and numbers are dyed into the polyester and add no weight to the mesh. Screen print sits on top of an open knit and can crack where mesh stretches, so we quote it for solid blanks and simple numbers only.

What is a lacrosse pinnie? Game and reversible practice pinnies

A pinnie is the sleeveless top worn over shoulder pads in the men's game. It is light, loose and open through the arm so nothing restricts the stick. Our sleeveless game pinnie is cut over pads, carries front and back numbers and is fully sublimated, which suits the bold, full-bleed graphics most programs want on mesh.

Reversible lacrosse pinnies are the practice top. One garment carries two colors, so a player flips it to change sides in a scrimmage and a program buys one practice set instead of two. Ours are two layers of polyester mesh, each sublimated on its own and then bonded and finished at the binding, so the graphic on one face does not show through the other. Each side can carry its own color and number.

Most high school and college rulebooks require a number on the front and back of the jersey in a color that contrasts with the body, and goalkeepers must look visibly different from field players. Number sizes vary by level and season, so send the current rulebook with the brief. We set size and placement from it and send a proof for your approval before bulk production.

Sizing lacrosse jerseys for youth, women's and men's players

Men's pinnies and jerseys run S to 3XL on our adult tops chart and are graded with shoulder pads in mind, so most players order their usual chest size. Players in bulky pads, or between two sizes, should size up. Youth is its own pattern from YXS to YXL rather than a shrunken adult block, which keeps the armhole and body length in proportion on a younger player.

Women's tops and kilts are cut on a women's block from XS to 2XL, with a narrower shoulder and more room through the hip. Kilts are sized by hip measurement, not waist, and ordering kilts from a waist chart is the most common reason a girls' program has to reorder. Ask your customer for chest and hip measurements per player on the roster, and check every chart on our size charts page before you quote.

Custom lacrosse uniforms from 12 pieces: blank prices, decoration quoted

Every lacrosse style is made to order from 12 pieces per style, and each colorway counts as its own style. These are not stock blanks pulled from a shelf. We cut and sew to your colors, so a decorator can order 12 solid pinnies to finish in house, or a team dealer can send full sublimated artwork with a roster. Reorders against a previous order number have no minimum, which covers late registrations and torn pinnies mid-season.

Each product page lists the blank price per piece or set in five tiers, from 12–50 up to 501+. Decoration is quoted per design because the cost depends on method, color count and coverage: a fully sublimated pinnie prices differently from a one-color screen-printed number. Shipping by Express Air, Cargo Air or Sea is quoted separately on EXW or FOB terms.
