Worth knowing: molded or engraved trims need a mold or die made from your logo, so allow extra time for the first order. Reorders reuse the same tooling.
Choosing custom zipper pulls for a jacket or bag
Rubber and PVC pulls take a raised 2D or 3D logo and stay soft against the body, which suits warm-ups, hoodies and bags. Silicone pulls give a grippy feel for gloved hands on outerwear. Metal pulls, engraved or filled with enamel, read as a step up on coach jackets and quarter-zips. Cord pulls with a branded tip are the light option for track tops and kit bags. Match the pull to the slider finish so the zipper looks like one part.
Branding the waistband, cords and plackets
On shorts, joggers and hoodies, the waistband and drawcord carry the brand once the shirt is tucked away. A jacquard waistband has your logo woven in and does not crack or peel; printed logo elastic costs less but can fade with heavy washing. Drawcords come flat, round or braided, with metal or silicone tips. For polos and outerwear, engraved metal or custom resin buttons and prong or spring snaps finish the placket; nickel-free options are available for buyers who ask for them.
Branded trims are made with your garment order
We produce branded trims for the garments we make, fitted on the same run, rather than as loose parts. The minimum is 12 pieces per style, the same as the garment, and each trim is quoted per design on top of the blank garment price. Trims are one stage of a custom uniform manufacturer order, next to fabric, sizing and decoration. What to send for a trims quote
Your logo as a vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG), the PMS color codes, and where each trim goes on the garment. For zippers, tell us the length per size, open or closed end, and the slider finish. If you are not sure what suits the garment, we suggest options with your quote. Add the details to your enquiry when you start your order.
Drawcords on youth garments
Hood and neck drawcords are not used on children's upper garments in the US market. We flag it before production for youth sizes and agree a cord-free hood or neckline with you.
