This crew neck rugby jersey has a close, low neck backed with a reinforced facing, and the seams that carry load at the shoulder and side are double-stitched and taped. Those are the exact points where a lighter jersey starts to open after a few hard games.
The body is a 280 to 320 gsm tight weave in polyester or poly-cotton, with hoops cut and sewn as panels. It is the jersey front-row forwards ask for, and many squads issue it to the pack while the backs wear a collared shirt in the same colors. Your customer can choose the tight match cut, the looser club cut, or split one order across both patterns.
Worth knowing: Sewn hoops limit the body to stripes and color blocks, so gradients or detailed graphics belong on the sublimated rugby training top rather than this match build.

FAQ
The shoulder and side seams carry the load when a jersey is grabbed and pulled. Double stitching plus tape at those points stops the seam opening. It adds sewing time, and it is the main reason a match jersey outlasts a lighter one.
Yes. The neck rib can be made in a club color or a yarn-dyed stripe, which ties the jersey to a striped short waistband. Send the PMS references and the stripe order with the brief.
Yes, as two styles in the same colors. Each style starts at 12 pieces, so plan at least 12 of each. Matching both to one set of PMS references keeps the hoops identical across the squad.
