Two-tone hockey jerseys give your customer a modern look without leaving the game-sweater format. The body is split into two color blocks, usually a contrast shoulder yoke or a horizontal or diagonal break, and each block is cut as its own panel and sewn to the next. The color change follows a seam, which reads sharper on the ice than a printed edge.
Under the styling it is the same game sweater as our home jersey: 220–260 gsm air-knit polyester, reinforced shoulders, a drop tail and space for a tackle-twill crest and numbers. Fight straps go into the back seam on request. Send a sketch of where the break should fall and we show it on the proof for your approval before production. For a customer who wants custom made hockey jerseys with a look of their own, it gets there without a new pattern.
Worth knowing: A twill number that crosses the color break loses contrast on one side, so the break has to be placed with the numbers in mind.

Fully custom
Twill numbers need to sit fully on one color block, so plan the break line away from the number areas. A sublimated version is possible, but sewn panels hold up better on game sweaters.

Sewn. Each color is its own fabric panel joined at a seam, so the edge stays crisp and the colors never bleed into each other. A sublimated color-block version can be quoted if your customer prefers a lighter sweater.
Keep it clear of the number areas on the back and sleeves so each number sits on one color. A contrast shoulder yoke or a horizontal break below the chest crest are the common layouts, and both keep the numbers readable.
Yes. The panels are cut from the standard game-sweater pattern, so grading on the youth, junior and senior blocks is unchanged. A program can mix two-tone home sweaters with a plain away set.
