The two button baseball jersey has the open collar of a full-button top with a placket that stops a few inches below the neck. Programs order it as an alternate, a summer-league game top or a coaches' shirt, and it is a common second style on an account that already buys button-ups from you. Ours is 140–160 gsm micro-polyester interlock, smooth enough for a stitched script and fully suited to dye sublimation.
With only two buttons, everything below the placket is one uninterrupted panel. That gives your decorator more room for a centered crest or a front number than a full-button top allows, and there are fewer buttons to lose in the wash. Placket piping and edge tipping are set at the brief, so the top can match the trim on a piped pant without added decoration.
Worth knowing: The placket ends mid-chest, so a long script set high on the chest still crosses the opening. Check the placement on the proof before you approve bulk.

Fully custom
A script can sit above the placket or arch across the clear panel below it. Sublimation works on the whole garment because the base is polyester, so a sublimated body with a stitched script is a common pairing.

Only the placket. A full-button opens all the way to the hem, while the two-button stops below the collar and the rest of the front is one panel. Fabric, size chart and decoration options are the same, so the two styles sell well side by side to one program.
Yes. Placket piping and edge tipping are pattern choices you specify on the brief. Give us the colors as PMS references and the sample comes back trimmed, so your customer approves the finished look before bulk.
Yes. Many programs order the two-button for coaching staff in the same colors as the players' jerseys, with a left-chest logo instead of a number. Coaches can go on the same order line as players, and the 12-piece minimum counts across all sizes.
