Baseball Cage Jackets overview

The baseball cage jacket, also sold as a batting cage jacket or BP jacket, is the one outer layer a hitter can swing in. It is a half-zip pullover with short sleeves, so the body stays warm on a cold spring night while the arms move freely through a full swing. Hitters wear it in the cage and on deck, and coaches often keep theirs on for all nine innings, so one team order usually covers staff too.

Because it pulls over a game jersey, a player can throw it on between innings and strip it off in seconds when due at the plate. We make it in your customer's colors with the team mark, and it takes names and numbers like the game top. It works well as part of a uniform package, so quote it alongside jerseys and pants.

Questions about Baseball Cage Jackets

Why short sleeves on a jacket?

So a hitter can take full swings in it. Long sleeves bunch at the elbow and pull across the shoulder through a swing. The short sleeve keeps the core warm and leaves the arms free, which is the whole point of the garment.

Can coaches get their own sizes and names?

Yes. Add coaches to the roster with their sizes and any name or title, and we produce and bag their jackets with the team's. Adult sizes run S to 3XL, so most staff fit the same chart as the older players.

Does it fit over a game jersey?

Yes. It is a pullover sized to go over the game top, so players can wear it between innings without changing. If your customer wants a closer fit for training use, tell us at the brief and we confirm the fit on the sample.
