Basketball Tear Away Pants overview

Basketball tear away pants have to come off over shoes, so they open along the leg. Ours do it with snaps running down each side, which is why the trade also calls them snap-away warm-up pants. A player can strip it in a few seconds at the scorer's table and put it back on at the end of the bench without unlacing anything. That practicality is what coaches ask about first, so it is worth showing in your sales sample.

It pairs with our warm-up jacket (BB-017) as a complete suit in your team colors, and the two can be sold together or separately. Order the pants with the jacket and the colors are confirmed once for both, so the suit looks like one garment from across the court.

Questions about Basketball Tear Away Pants

Do the pants come with the jacket?

They are ordered separately. Pair them with the warm-up jacket (BB-017) for a full suit, or sell either piece alone to a program that already has one half. Each is its own style for the 12-piece minimum on a first order, and both are colored from the same approved artwork.

Where can we put a logo?

Upper front thigh or the back hip both work and stay clear of the snap line. A stripe down the side is better built into the pattern than printed, since the snaps interrupt it. Tell us the placement on the brief and we show it on the proof before production.

Are tear away and snap-away pants the same thing?

Yes. Buyers search for tear away pants, and the trade often says snap-away because snaps run down each leg. Players pull the leg open at the scorer's table instead of unlacing their shoes, and snap it closed again on the bench.
