Softball Knickers overview
In summer fastpitch and travel ball, softball knickers are as common as full-length pants, and many players prefer the freedom at the knee. They finish just below the knee with an elastic or banded hem and show a band of sock beneath. For your accounts that means every knicker roster also needs a sock order, which is easy added value on the same quote.
We grade fastpitch softball knickers as their own pattern on a women's block. A knicker made by cutting a long pant short puts the knee in the wrong place, while ours keeps the knee and hem where the shorter length needs them. The seat and knee are 240 gsm double-knit polyester with bar-tacked stress points, because a knicker slides as often as a pant.

Worth knowing: An elastic hem can feel tight on players with larger calves, so a banded hem is the safer default for a roster with a wide size spread.

Questions about Softball Knickers
Elastic or banded hem?
Either, set at the brief. Elastic gathers just below the knee for a snug finish, and a banded hem is a flat cuff that sits looser. The sample comes back the way you specify, so your customer can try both if unsure.
Which socks go with knickers?
Our softball socks (SB-024) are crew socks with stripes knitted in your customer's colors, and they show below the hem. Order them in the same run and we match the stripe colors to the uniform.
Is there a uniform set with knickers?
Yes. The racerback set (SB-006) pairs a racerback top with a knicker, decorated and bagged per player. For a sleeved jersey with knickers, order the two as separate lines on one roster.
