Soccer Compression Shorts overview

Soccer compression shorts go under the match short for muscle support and to stop chafing over a full match. We cut them close to the body in poly-spandex compression knit, a polyester and elastane blend with four-way stretch that recovers its shape after washing; the exact weight is confirmed on the quote. The laws of the game ask for undershorts in the main color of the match short, so your customers can order them in that color on the same order.

Players also wear them as soccer sliding shorts on artificial turf, where a slide tackle can burn bare skin. It is a strong add-on line: a club ordering match kit through you usually has players buying undershorts somewhere else, and offering them in the team color keeps that spend with your business. Sizes follow our adult and youth bottoms charts.

FAQ

Questions about Soccer Compression Shorts

What color should soccer compression shorts be?

Undershorts are expected to match the main color of the match short. Check your customer's league rules, give us the PMS reference, and we match the compression short to the match short on the same order.

How should players size compression shorts?

They are cut close on purpose. Players who size up for comfort lose the support, so advise your customers to order by waist and hip from the adult bottoms chart rather than going a size bigger.

Are these the same as sliding shorts?

In soccer, mostly yes: the same close-fitting short gives support and protects the thigh on slide tackles. This style has no padding. If a buyer wants a padded sliding short, send the spec and we quote it as a custom build.
