Gaming Hoodies overview

For most esports organizations the gaming hoodie is the merch line. It sells more units than the jersey, it is what players wear on stream, and it is the item fans ask for first. Ours is a pullover with a contrast-lined hood in the team's second color, so the hood shows the team palette when it is down, which is how a hoodie is usually seen on camera.

Your customer chooses the weight. French terry, 280 gsm, 80% cotton and 20% polyester, has a looped back and suits a lighter hoodie. Brushed fleece, 380 gsm, 65% cotton and 35% polyester, has a soft brushed face and is the heavyweight winter version. Both are cotton-rich, so the logo goes on by embroidery, screen print or DTF.

Worth knowing: Neither hoodie fabric can be sublimated, because sublimation needs at least 80% polyester, so an all-over jersey-style design won't transfer to the hoodie.

FAQ

Questions about Gaming Hoodies

Why can't the hoodie be sublimated like the jersey?

Sublimation dye only bonds with polyester, and it needs at least 80% polyester to look right. Our hoodie fabrics are cotton-rich for warmth and feel, so we use embroidery, screen print or DTF instead.

French terry or brushed fleece?

French terry is lighter, with a looped, unbrushed back, and suits mild climates and indoor wear. Brushed fleece is the heavyweight option with a soft inner face. Many stores carry both for different seasons.

Can I run a limited drop of 12 hoodies?

Yes. A new style starts at 12 pieces, sizes mixed. If the drop sells out, a reorder of the same hoodie has no minimum and is billed at the 12–50 price.

Can the hood lining match the team's second color?

Yes, that is how the style is built. The lining is cut from a separate fabric in the color you approve, so the hood shows the second team color while the body carries the first. Changing the lining color later makes it a new colorway, which counts as its own style.
