Fabric: A ~240 GSM polyester double-knit, heavier than the 200 GSM jersey body because pants take the abrasion of sliding and diving. The smooth outer face sublimates cleanly, which is why the solid base is the easiest canvas for pinstripes or an all-over design.
Cut: The solid cut has no contrast braid. a clean single-color base, the simplest look in the line. For a contrast soutache braid sewn down each outer leg seam, the piped cut is the same pant with the braid added.
