Unlike the casual cotton-poly hooded sweatshirt, the fleece is a technical pull-on layer in anti-pill polyester. it pulls on over a jersey, layers cleanly under a shell when it turns wet, and stands alone in dry cold. Warmer than the thin batting jacket shell, with a quarter-zip neck and a stand collar. Full-color sublimation covers the whole pullover including the sleeves, so the team mark and colorway read the same as the rest of the uniform. Fabric: A warmth midlayer, not a shell. The fleece pullover is breathable polyester fleece for dry-cold warmth and for layering under a shell. it is NOT wind-resistant or water-resistant on its own (that is the rain jacket) and NOT a heavy quilted bench coat (that is the dugout jacket). It is the everyday warmth layer that pulls on over a jersey.
Decoration: Sublimation covers the full pullover cleanly because the fleece is 100% polyester. Embroidery and tackle twill work on the flat chest panel, but the fleece has a napped surface, so fine embroidery detail can sink slightly into the pile. we use a bolder stitch and a backing to keep logos crisp.
Seams: The quarter-zip neck runs with a chin guard at the top to prevent zipper bite, reinforced with bartack stitching at the anchor. The stand collar holds shape and adds warmth at the neck without a full hood.
Sublimation covers the full jacket cleanly because the fleece is 100% polyester. Embroidery and tackle twill go on the flat front chest panel, with a bolder stitch so the crest sits above the fleece nap.
